DEBRIS

Writer: FirebrandFirebrand

Awaiting gunsmoke while avoiding the Irish suite.

When will he be home?  When will this be done?

Dying in the north and in the west.

We are all dying at various rates.

The Japanese island once again Hokusai,

dying in waves.

The earthquake slowed time

then we sped forward to save daylight.

All I could do today was gather sticks

and go through the picture motions,

reflect while collecting winter debris

and make fire

to dry out the last winter damp

like today’s sun on Sendai.

Tsunami swept the debris to sea

humanity washed clean away as the rumbling earth

moved on.

And now the reaction. Nuclear. Extends the reach

and concludes.
